Didn’t love all the management, though I didn’t have as much issue with 3rd down, Chark was open Goff missed. My issue is being aggressive then pulling the reigns. I don’t know, sucks, but you can see what they’re building and it’s hard to be too mad.
Its the little things. Swift is close to a first down. They dont review it. Am on st. Brown wts first down they review it. The last couple minutes were weird. They put 12 seconds back on. If they didn't its have been a 54 yard fg. With all starters we win. If if if if...this team is better than 4-7. Happy thanksgiving mofos. Diet starts again tomorrow
Loss is on the coaches...bad time management cost 3 at the half and not running on 3rd and 1 left time on the clock...
I had less of an issue with all that than kicking the FG on 4th and 1. The only way they had a chance to win that game was to go ahead by more than 3 there.
I'm listening to the radio and other folks just skewer 1 play from yesterday. Apparently every one of them had us beating Buffalo at the beginning of the season. I'm not going to scream, kick and yell over 1 play call. The game plan they came up with has been good and they held Buffalo to 28 and lost. Could we have won? Sure but we are a young team with no interior line (Note they are playing their 5th and 6th GUARDS!), no CB1 and missing their #1 safety. Woulda loved to see them win but this team is much more enjoyable then other teams. We have 2 firsts, 2 seconds next year - help coming with Williams also. We could win 4 of our next 6 and finish 8-9.
How many more games are we going to lose because of bad gametime coaching decisions?
I just want to expand on this a little more. Kudos to the Lions and coaches for making this game very competitive and putting themselves in position to win. You see these tough hard fought games slip away at the end and very questionable coaching decisions lead to this. We have been here before too many times. The Lions could be I. The playoff hunt, next season or two they should be and again we are seeing coaching gaffs contribute to loses. Also the last play Buffalo ran how do you not account for their goto WR?
I get it, if they run the ball there and get stuffed ppl would say..you have two back up guards what are you doing trying to run the ball there??? Heck I would have been Ok with a play action pass versus what they tried to run. It was just a bad play call in that situation.

The play was successful. Chark was open, they just weren’t on the same page. My issue with it was more being aggressive on 3rd down and then kicking the the FG instead of going for it.
I had bigger issues with end of first half management.
In the end, was a fun game. Some questionable decisions, but also some decisions they made are the reason the game was competitive in the first place.

I think the longest play the Lions had on offense was 26 yards. So 3rd and inches you run a 30 yard fade? I'm not buying it....total shit call no matter how open he appeared to be. Chark hasn't done shit all year. The balls needs to be in St Browns hands or one of the running backs. Fake jet sweep play action.... something beside a 30 yard fade pattern to guy that has a ton of drops.
