Possibly. I think he was against all of them other than Dean.
Wasn’t crazy about him. Was hoping for a size speed guy to help on giving up those chunk plays and deep routes. Contract seems fair, though. Ideally a #2 that you can move inside when you need to.
Admittedly I have watched probably a half a dozen Steelers games the last 2 years.
If I remember correctly, you were against signing him. Or was that another DB?
i thought it was bradberry?
I was honestly hoping they’d trade for one of the guys that may have been on the block. Ramsey, Lattimore, White. See if maybe those guys were available from cap strapped teams, because no one of the FA market did much for me and I feel like they need a real veteran alpha CB.
Either way, Sutton is an upgrade over Amani, so already a plus.

I don't know man, I prefer what they did. Sutton might not be at the level of the guys you mentioned but they didn't give up any draft capital and only on the hook for $22M guaranteed. Sounds like a much more efficient use of resources.

Judging by the Ramsey deal, the draft capital you’d have to give up is minimal and they’re not short on money. They’re holding on to some guys at deals that are pretty inflated right now that would free up quite a bit of room.
I think they’re better, but I just wonder how much. The bar was pretty low in the secondary. I think it’s gonna end up putting a lot of pressure on a rookie CB. Maybe he’ll handle it fine, maybe Sutton is closer to a #1. Maybe Okudah puts it all together.
This goes back to my whole way of how they are playing it. Is Goff their guy and they want to win it with him? If so they have a window now and I’d like to take some swings, if he’s not and it’s slow, patient build, then I’m good with that. Just feel like they’re playing both sides of it, not sure how that will work out.

Just because the cap room is there to spend, doesn't mean you overspend on an aging veteran. I get what you're saying about the window though, but I'm hesitant to say they have the pieces to where that is worth it (including Goff). If they had a true franchise, game-changing QB I probably feel differently.

Sutton is 28. Ramsey is 6 months older. White is 28. Lattimore is 26.
And I don’t disagree with you about the pieces,( though NFC is about as open as ever), but I also think you’ve got 2 more years of Goff. And if that’s the case, you need to start adding those pieces to try and win it all. And if those pieces are rookies, don’t see it happening.
I do have faith in this staff and front office. I just think they’re in a weird spot right now and it makes it hard to manage a long term roster and try to put team together that could compete.

Honestly didn't even know Lattimore was available. As for the other guys, I'd rather sign a modest contract to the next tier down than give up draft capital and overspend (a 3rd round pick is not minimal).

I’d imagine Saints will always listen to offers for all their big contracts, given their cap situation every season.
#Lions have agreed to terms to bring back DL John Cominsky, source says. Two-year deal for $8.5 million with another $1 million in attainable incentives.
Cominsky gets $4 million fully guaranteed after a breakout season in which he played through a broken thumb.

Harris is actually solid depth. Room is getting full at CB, but if they’re not gonna bring in a #1 a bunch of 2/3’s with versatility is a good way to go, too. Opens up options early in draft and doesn’t put pressure on rookie.
Seems that way. Gotta say, I do think Jamaal is JAG on the field, but seems to be a great locker room guy. So in the end I'd rather have Montgomery. But I will miss Jamaal.
