So injuries…
Campbell made it today sound like no Decker and Moseley again on top of the others.
Hopefully Montgomery might be able to pull through, he’s a big piece to the offense.
Atlanta looks better than I initially thought. Still Ridder is a young QB they should be able to bait into some mistakes, but have to find a way to get pressure. Run D has looked very good, but will get a real test with the Atlanta OL and Bijan.
Offensively I think you have to try and attack the edges and hopefully force Bates to out of that ability to freelance some. If offense can get ahead and force Atlanta to throw, may be the best route to a win.
We got a crap ref crew again and this game means a lot. REmember when Golden Tate scored or at least they said it was a touchdown....then they reversed the call and ran ten seconds off the clock, giving ATL the game? Yeah, I remember that shit too. Fuck that. By calling that a TD then reversing it they gave ATL the game. It may have been short, but I think we all know it was a hose job.
Tracy Walker steps in and has a great game. Gibbs rushes for over 100 yards and nearly as much receiving. Lions offense time of possession keeps Falcons offense off the field and Lions win easily.

This will be the Falcons first road game of the season. They have a very young team, including Ridder, who is still trying to gain his footing in the league. I think the crowd noise will play a huge role in this game. I see the d-line stepping up and getting at least 4 sacks, and I see a defensive score. Atlanta is an up and coming team, but I see this one going similar to the Jacksonville game last year.

This is a huge game and probably the difference between 2-2 and 3-1 as I don't see the Lions beating Green Bay on the road twice in a row in prime time.
That said, even with the injuries I think the Lions pull out a close one. I'm also expecting a 60+ yard run from Bijan.

Great win! I love to see good defensive football!
The Good: - Brian Branch is just a stud - D-line dominated this game & absolutely shut down Bijon & the run game. Contributions across the entire defensive front today. - Our secondary was laying the lumber today! - LaPorta is the real deal - Gibbs can clearly carry a heavy load and was still fresh in the 4th quarter
The Bad (or not great): - What happened to Ben Johnson's creativity? The offense looked pretty vanilla, and actually has all season - Too many penalties (although the call on Branch for his hit on Bijon in the 4th Qtr was very questionable) - Goff was just off today. Yes, he took some hits, but from the very first play he looked off his game. - Why did it take so long to call running plays to the left side?? Sewell and Jackson are your best o-lineman, but we waited until the 4th quarter to run to that side. Once we did, Gibbs started ripping off chunk yardage. - If Tracey Walker is able to catch, he gets two picks, with a very real chance to take the 2nd one to the house
If you know of anyone with blocking skills, our o-line is gonna need some depth with a short week of prep.
Quality win with a lot of key missing pieces. D really stepped up. Need to get OL healthy and Montgomery back.
Really missing Decker. Sewell has been pretty bad on the left side. Not sure how much of it is just not being used to that side but if he is the future at LT the Lions might have to re-evaluate things.

Yeah, hasn’t been great. Some may be adjustment on short notice, I do think he can play LT. That said, I think he’s an elite RT. Not sure about LT.
man our rookies are freaking good. Branch is a monster, LaPorta is amazing. Gibbs gets it done. just awesome. one of the best moves was activating Buggs. dont bench his ass again morons.
