Only place I know for sure to go is Pizzeria Bianco...supposed to be best pizza maker in America and kind of the one that started the whole craft neopolitan style pizza...
Vitos has fantastic pizza. they have several locations here near Phoenix and Mesa.my favorite is their Sicilian Pizza. Spicy sauce. fantastic. if you like scallops they have the best bacon wrapped scallops i've ever had. I live in Mesa.

Alrighty....so who thinks the Lions bounce back against the Cardinals?
I know that the Lions didn't lose back to back games last year, but nothing is the same from year to year in the NFL. I am just hoping that losing last week was the reality check the team needed to focus (especially Goff and BJ). I think Frank and Glasgow had a bad game last week and the whole unit needs to be in tune to win this game.
Not sure how much I believe that last week's win by the Cardinals had to do with AZ as much as it had to do with the Rams. Lions defense should keep them more honest and the Lions offense should be able to move it more against the defense.
Hoping for a good game with no injuries.

Lions will win. last year we didnt have 2 losses in a row and i expect the same this year. we moved the ball well last week. issue was red zone. thats on Johnson. i think we should do more 2 TE plays this week.

Not gonna lie. Last week's game shook my confidence quite a bit. I hate the 4pm time slot. We never seem to play well. QB's with the ability to break the pocket and create plays with their legs have always given us trouble. On the road, outdoors, against a quality opponent. I just don't feel great about this one. Hopefully BJ learned something from last week? I would love to see them lean on the downhill running game and turn this into a time of possession domination. Limit the Cards touches as much as possible. Having Davenport back should help apply additional pressure, but lane discipline is going to be very important. Our defense has given up 20 pts in both games so far. Is that enough to win in the desert? I'm pessimistically hopeful, if that's a thing.

I'm picturing a critical 3rd & 19 where the Lions D-line collapses the pocket, 4 guys get a hand on Kyler and he escapes to complete a 20 yard pass or tucks it and gets 30.

Nervous about this one. Going to Arizona, which it feels like is always the case, has been a rough game for a while. Kyler is a pain in the ass to defend.
I do think it could be a get right game for offense.
Hopefully no big injuries, too. That field is always beat to shit out there.

idk....I think they've worked on pocket contain a ton...last week with no davenport it wasn't as effective, but I think they contain him fairly well most the game

It was awful last week with Mayfield (who is no Kyler when it comes to scrambling). And week 1 was against Stafford who might be the only guy in the NFL slower than Goff. So not sure how we can say it's improved at this point.

????
Am I missing something?
Not seeing any rush yds for stafford, so not sure what your point is???
Mayfield was 5 for 34 yds, as I said, without davenvenport, so...yeah?
Not sure you're making the point you think you are...

Neither Stafford nor Mayfield are known as running threats, yet Mayfield was able to find running lanes due to poor gap discipline when he needed to. Since we've only faced Stafford with Davenport in the lineup, it is impossible to know if he will contribute to gap discipline or not. Until the Lions can prove they can contain a running threat QB, this is going to be a concern. It's going to be hot as hell in Arizona. We'll need to increase the rotation across the d-line all day to keep guys fresh. All of them will need lane discipline to keep Murray from killing us with his legs, not just Davenport, when he's in.
I'm a little jealous. Beer. The hot sun. We need field reports back boys. How the Lions section of the crowd is. How big. But most of all have fun and never drink and drive lol
I guess Allen Robinson and Tim Patrick have been called up from the PS. Should be interesting. I'd like us to establish run early with D Mo but wtf do I know?

Last week it seemed like rushers were getting too far upfield sometimes and not just leaving lanes to rush, but they allowed Baker to buy time and throw. Though on Bakers big run, Reader got tackled from behind.
Kyler will get them at least a couple times, just the nature of playing a guy with that kind of speed and athleticism. I hope they’re able to limit the broken plays and missed sack opportunities that have hurt them the first 2 weeks.

Good points bad. Why not shadow Kyler with a Malcolm Rodriguez or someone? At least on obvious passing downs. Scrambling running QBs are an Achilles heel

Didn't Aaron Glenn once say he didn't believe in having 1 player shadow the QB?

There just happens to be a recent article on this subject
I would hope Campbell would be able to drop into middle short coverage while being able to keep an eye on Murray to limit his scrambling success?
Issue is, if Kyler breaks pocket even an athletic LB like Cambell is going to have issues with him in space. This is one they’ll miss Melifonwu, he has the athletic ability to cover a lot of space and still come downhill if needed.
I’d guess there gonna contain rush and try to just push the pocket back and not lose the edge and I’d guess Reader could have a big impact if he can eat up blockers in the middle. Would think Glenn is probably got a few blitz packages to mix in.
