Disappointed by this, he was great for what he was. I heard the Lions have interest in Chris Thompson, but I think he is a step down from McKissic. Maybe Ty Johnson can step into that role.
Thompson is a better talent than McKissic, but he gets injured putting on his pads. Never healthy.
Yeah, that's a big part of it but I think the talent is closer than you think. He's also 3 years younger.
Age doesn’t mean much on this one. Thompson gives you more as a runner and more versatile receiver, not as much wiggle. But in the end, he just can’t stay healthy. We’ll see what they do and what Washington gave Mckissic, but I’d have like to seen them keep him.
I think when it comes to RBs, 26 vs 29 is a HUGE difference.
If you’re talking guys that have a history of heavy workloads. You’re not here with either guy. You’re getting too caught up on age and not as much on usage. Neither guy has a history of high usage. Christian McCaffery almost had as many touches last season as Thompson has in his career. Kerryon almost has as many carries as Thompson has in his career.

Somebody please grab some paper towels and STOP THE BLEEDING! WTF is going on? Kennard, McKissic and Driskell all gone? Chase Daniel is the backup? Who is writing this script, because it SUCKS! SLAY will BE GONE SOON! I think I have it figured out folks, the joke is on us. The Lions are the perennial losers of the NFL, it's like some unwritten rule where they will be right around 500 all the time, because the city of Detroit and the Fords must have some contract to remove ALL PROGRESS EVERY OTHER YEAR! Seriously, the only pride with this team is the pride of the Fords who pride themselves on the Lions never overshadowing the car company. The Lions are their marketing plan and they don't care about winning. How the F do you release Kennard and McKissic? Kennard? He was one of the brightest spots on D last year! What am I missing here? No matter who coaches or who is the GM, the message is clear...remain mediocre. It sucks. Now they will have to draft a CB in the first and it's another year down the drain, while this next great CB learns "the system." And once he does he will want more and they will ship him away too! THIS IS WHACKED. I'M OUT!
Chase Fucking Daniel did it. A backup Chicago Bears QB now a backup here? Driskell is a backup now in Denver, obviously it isn't a huge contract but the Lions won't match? Driskell's upside is 100 times that of Chase, Chase is older than most of you!

Yeah I think there’s some better fits, but some losses in other spots. Need a strong finish to FA and good draft. Then you need some luck with health next year.
