This week we need Seattle and either Washington or New York to lose and obviously Detroit to win. Lions could lose 1 game rest of the way and still make playoffs. gonna need help either way.
Think you want to root for Washington in that game.
Nope, I want to see the Giants win, and hopefully they can pull off a 10-wins 6-losses and 1-tie record giving them the 6th seed. Giants will play the Vikings in the Wild card round and get their ass kicked.
When the Lions go 10-wins 7-losses giving them the 7th seed. We will play the 49ers in the Wild Card round and kick their ass. Purdy will get dirty, because our Rookies go wild and sack him multiple times.
Cowboys thrash the Panthers in the Wild Card round.
Next up for the Lions is the Eagles in Philly during the divisional round. I say the Lions do the Rocky Balboa dance singing "The Eye of the Lion (Tiger)" on the steps of the Philadelphia Museum after we beat the Eagles.
Cowboys will kick the shit out of the Vikings for the 2nd time this season in the divisional round.
Lions go into Dallas for the NFC Championship to get a big hunk of revenge, but I am not saying who will win at this time.
Best record I see for the Commanders after they lose to the Giants is 8-wins, 8-losses, and 1-tie.
Best record I see for the Seahawks is 9-wins and 8-losses

That’s a lot of things having to go a certain way, including the Lions winning out. Commanders have the tougher of the 2 schedules between the Giants and Washington, so a win could allow some breathing room for Lions to not have to win out. Then you have Seattle lose their next 3 before beating the Rams to help secure the top 5.
Of course winning out solves all this, also a very difficult road.

Lions are a much better team than their next four opponents. Only injury to the secondary is our weakness. Hope that Okudah, Joseph, Elliot, and Jacobs stay healthy, and the Lions will win out. The rest of above is just a wish the Lions do not have to play the Vikings again in the playoffs. I have read the Vikings own our 2024 4th round pick through the Hockenson trade, however if they win a playoff game this year, it will become a 5th round pick. As the 6th seed, we will play them, and will beat them again. So, hope the Giants beat the Commanders and Eagles beat the Cowboys.

I love your confidence. I do not think the Lions are a much better team than the Jets. I think the Lions are fully capable of going 4-0, but I’d rather not bank on it.
9ers are probably the one team i wouldnt want to face in the playoffs...
I would rather play the 49ers the 1st game of the playoffs with the hope Deebo Samuel needs one more week of healing. Without Samuel the Lions definitely have a chance to beat them.

Still not a believer, and that is Okay. I know what I see on the field and when analyzing the stats. Lions are as good as the Eagles, Cowboys, and 49ers.
Let me put it this way, If the Jets were going against the Eagles, Cowboys, or 49ers who would they beat? Ans: They would lose all 3 games.
If the Panthers played those 3-teams? They would lose to all of them.
If the Bears would play them, they would lose. Same with the Packers, zilch nada.
Lions are getting healthy with a lot of talent finally being utilized from IR. The 2022 draft class has been amazing. AND, we have the madman, Ben Frikken Johnson.

I think the Lions are a good team. I also think they are flawed in some spots. Hardly say that’s not being a “believer”. The Jets are one of the best defensive teams in the league and are fully capable of beating the Lions.
I can fully see the Lions going 4-0 over next 4. Also think it’s very possible they go 2-2.

agreed...pretty nervous about this jets game...lions havent faced many great defenses yet...coupled with the home/away differences and its kinda scary...but i kinda like the lions having meaningful games and not knowing they will likely lose or if they win it doesnt matter

lions dont have the D the other teams you listed and have lost to the 2 of those teams already this season...what do you mean lions can beat them? They havent...

I looked at Goff’a splits after I posted that stat and it’s definitely weighted heavily by the Pats game and to lesser extent Cowboys game. Still definitely a concern, especially when the run game hasn’t been real efficient lately. Hopefully they can gameplan some things and D can make a few plays.

I know the Lions are flawed, but so is every team in the NFL. You just happen to know the Lion's flaws better than other teams and focus on them resulting in uncertainty.
The Lions going 4-0 is highly probable, flaws and all.
The Lions going 2-2 is highly improbably and most likely include injury to key personal and/or a Goff melt down (This is the thinking of a SOL fan that still doesn't believe) Optimism my man.

I think you are confused. I said above the Lions are very capable of beating a weaker Jet team. Went over the Jets schedule, Jets have played a lot of teams in the bottom half of the league in passing resulting in an inflated Pass Defense rating.

They’ve had 5 games against top 10 passing offenses? The Lions have played 5 against bottom 10 passing defenses(using yards). Does that make their stats inflated?
I get it Geezer, Lions are playing good ball. I do think they’re going to win Sunday, but it’s ok to think the Jets are a good team that pose a real threat of beating them.

I am not nervous; the lions will beat the Jets. You shut down Garrett Wilson with Okudah, Wilson is half the Jets passing attack. Jets have given up over 30 sacks on the season, Lions will have 4 to 6 sacks in this game which will end drives. Our Run defense will stop their rushing attack. Jets will have hard time moving the football. In addition, Jets have lost mostly to teams with a good passing attack.

not at all. Follow your scenario through to logical completion and you will understand i made a logical conclusion....
Not sure youll get it, so you are saying: No need to get rude Felix.
Lions > Jets because:
Cowboys > Jets 49ers > Jets Eagles > than Jets
But Eagles and Cowboys have beaten Lions
So your argument makes no sense at all

The Jets had 8 games against teams in the bottom half of the league in passing yards. The Miami game Skyler Thompson played. He threw for 166 yards and had a pick so that makes 9. In the 4 games they played against teams in the upper half in passing yards, they are 1 win and 3 losses. However, I will say that the Jets have Josh Allen number, he played way below his norm in both game against the Jets. Joe Burrow threw for 275 yards and Kirk Cousins threw for 173 yards way below par. So yeah, the Jets stats are skewed lower due to inferior competition in 9 of their games. However, their next 4 games are against the Lions, Jags, Seahawks and Dolphins. I believe they go 1 win and 3 losses again. Goff should hit his average of 260 yards passing. I also think the Lions will run the ball well against the Jets due to only 7 or less in the box most of the game.

Fair point on Miami. Forgot about Tua. But you just pointed out that 3 out of the other 4 top 10 passing offenses had below average passing games. That helps your argument?
And you ignored my point about the Lions playing sub par passing D’s? Does that skew their stats? Or is it only the Lions?
